  Overview
Join us April 20-22 at the Hawthorne Inn and Convention Center in Winston-Salem
for the 2007 AAUW NC Convention! You'll leave with -

    - Inspiration and new energy - talk to members from around
the state to hear their best ideas. See your fundraising "in person" with
a chance to lunch with an Educational Foundation fellow. Hear remarkable
      women as the plenary speakers!

    - New and renewed connections to other members - receptions
on Friday and Saturday will give you a chance to see old friends and make
new ones. Join the tour on Friday or the walk on Sunday for even more time
to "connect". A special workshop for college/university representatives
will help them make connections with each other and those members who
want better relationships with the campuses.

    - Improved knowledge and skills - speakers will discuss
public policy highlights, educational equity, membership and leadership
development strategies, the results of a project on girls'
healthy lifestyles (and insights into how the branch won the grant to support
      the project),

    - Better understanding of the “big picture” -
meet the current and incoming leaders of AAUW NC. Take part in discussions
that will affect the future of AAUW in North Carolina. Hear from two Association
leaders about the pending changes at the national level. Take part in a
Q&A at the Town Hall on Sunday morning to learn about changes in North
      Carolina and across the country.

Find all the details in the current
issue of the Tar Heel News, and watch
this space for updates as we get closer to the convention.
