The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund is sponsoring
a Campus Outreach Program to address gender equity issues in higher education.
While LAF may be known for its support of women plaintiffs fighting sex discrimination,
this program is one of a series designed to improve the campus climate and lessen
the need for litigation.
A Balancing Act: The Future of Fairness
(A three part workshop)
Part I: Will focus on individual communication skill building. Topics covered
will include effective gender communication issues and women's development. Workshop
presenter will be Dr. Martha Reeves, Visiting Professor of Sociology, Duke University.
Part II: Will focus on campus activism and how to effect change
on campus.

All who are concerned with these issues for any campus in NC are welcome. Preregistration
by March 14 is required. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the day
of the event.
