Overview

For the first time in several years, changes to the AAUW NC Bylaws will be put before the convention for a vote. These have been discussed as part of the ReConnection process since the summer of 2002. At the Fall 2004 board meeting, specific options were presented and discussed. A survey was conducted from November 2004 to January 2005, and its results informed the final version of the changes that were approved in principle at the Board Retreat in March. There will be additional communications to the branches and delegates about these changes.

Motions

The convention will be asked to vote on the following motions:

  1. To approve the bylaws changes as outlined in the Feb. 10, 2005 document presented at the Winter Board Retreat. [Complete document.]
  2. To direct the AAUW NC Secretary to include spelling, formatting, numbering, punctuation and grammatical corrections in the revision of the AAUW NC Bylaws document.
