The last issue of Tar Heel News made it to the printer a day late. Some
information just wasn't available until the last minute. Thanks to Virginia
Palmer, Mary Fran Schickedantz, JoAnne Whitney Hill, Laura Rumbly, and
the others who helped me obtain it. I will always work with anyone who
has news which must be published, but please try to turn it in on a timely
basis whenever possible.
In the future, another person will proofread the entire newsletter before
it goes to the printer. With items coming in so late, I am too close to
read effectively, and typos slip through. Because we are a professional
organization, this reflects poorly on us. Thanks to Mary Fran Schickedantz
for reading all the nominations information. I apologize for the typos
on the other pages in the recent issue.
Thanks to Mary Peterson for writing the last-minute article on Advocacy
Day, and to each person who contributed content of substance. We have a
good newsletter which is easy to read and I am committed to even better
quality as we continue.
