Change, Survive and Thrive

How did we do the credit card payment?

The Convention committee set up the online registration form where you can register online and pay with a credit card.

These credit card payments are through the service called PayPal. PayPal is an Internet service set up to make it cost effective for organizations like ours to accept online payments without the expense of setting up "merchant" credit card accounts. But, following the "no free lunch" principle, what is easier (and cheaper) for AAUW NC as an organization means that things might be a bit more complicated for you.

PayPal is the premiere "micropayment" system on the Internet, is generally considered very safe, and their customer support staff responds promptly to questions.

When you pay your registration fees with a credit card, all of the authorization and security will come from the PayPal site. This is a significant simplification for AAUW, and if you have any questions, please contact Millie Hoffler-Foushee or the excellent PayPal support staff. Remember that you can always pay by sending a check, and your "online registration" still is a benefit for AAUW NC because you have typed in your information and it is more likely to be correct than if your handwriting needs to be deciphered.

See www.paypal.com for more information.

Many thanks to Millie Hoffler-Foushee and her daughter Johnetta Valentine for their work in providing this service to AAUW NC.
