Background

At the AAUW NC Board retreat held on March 5, 2005 in Greensboro, there was an agreement to group the ideas from the October 2004 board meeting into the following

GOALS

Expand/build coalitions
Improve visibility
Diverse Intergenerational Membership/Outreach
Increase Flexibility/Streamline structure

STRATEGIES

Strengthen State/Branch Relationships
Get a statewide focus
Utilize technology sensitively
Maintain fundraising momentum

These were further discussed at the Summer 2005 board meeting.
