Hi Nancy, I will be unable to make the meeting at the end of the month. Lil Van Order will represent the Wilmington Branch for us. I am planning on coming to the State convention in April. Here is a brief summary report from our branch for 2004-2005: *Individually screened over 6000 students in New Hanover County for vision problems - "Eyes to the Future" *Book and author fund raiser for scholarships - approximately $5000- profit *Honored 3 branch members for EF@ $1000-each from the 2003-2004 year *Held a program on Banned Books *Held a dynamic dialogue branch meeting for National AAUW concerns *Had a Holiday Luncheon in December *Audited our 2003-2004 financial books they're justified *Held an informative and educational program at each meeting since September *Have gained new members and are now up to 87 members *We publish a monthly newsletter for our members *We are presently working on revising our bylaws by committee, and currently are putting together the 100 Program *We are presently working to have Congresswoman Carolyn Justice speak at one of our meetings this year and to go on a tour trip of the Raleigh Capitol house and chambers *THere are several other programs planned for our meetings for the rest of the year Sincerely submitted by, Hope Cusick, Wilmington AAUW Branch president
