The total contributions for the Educational Foundation for 2003 according to my records and the report from the Educational Foundation as of March 3, 2004 is $35,900.03. The final report from the Educational Foundation
will be sent in early April. I do not anticipate any change in the amount. Nineteen branches made contributions. Twelve branches met or exceeded the goal of $25.00 per member.

The total amount contributed in 2002 was $35,790.87 and 19 branches sent contributions. It is encouraging to see an increase in the amount contributed in 2003.

I would encourage all branches to share ideas for successful fundraising activities.

I know that some branches have invited a Fellow who is studying in North Carolina to speak to the branch. I encourage all branches to make contact with the Fellows and learn about their program of study and research.

My best wishes for continued strong support for the Educational Foundation in North Carolina.
