Back to the Future
Facilitator: Helen Landers, SAR Historian
June 8, 2002, AAUW SAR Conference, Tampa, FL

reported by: Mary Jo Pribble, AAUW Hendersonville

A look at the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's and in each decade consider what happened in the US
and in the World, what was AAUW supporting and emphasizing and what was happening in your life?

A good source for AAUW information is Susan Levine's Degrees of Equality published by Temple
University Press, Philadelphia in 1995. This book was comissioned by AAUW.

This workshop produced a lot of interesting discussion. The format would make a good branch program. I have copies of the Nation and World events for the 5 decades. I will be glad to send copies to anyone who is interested.
