Pages 10 and 11: DirectoryPages 10 and 11 of the Fall 2006 issue contain the directory of branch presidents and other state officers. By policy, we do not post mailing addresses of these individuals except for the use of members. If you feel you have a legitimate need for this data, please contact the state president or communications chair. However, we do post names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses for these individuals. Please see Contact information for branch and state officers Pages 10 and 11: Other informationSpecial note to Members-at-Large Tar Heel News (THN) is being published in a new format! AAUW NC voted at Convention 2006 to change from the tabloid we have used for years to a standard-size sheet to make the PDFs web-friendly. Another change is the frequency of publication – from four to three times annually – to save money, while improving quality. Members-at-large have received THN on a complimentary basis for several years, in an intentional effort by AAUW NC to inform and connect with you, to encourage you to be engaged in the mission. Due to demands on your time, we realize branch membership may not be right for you. But did you know you can add an at-large state membership to your national membership for only $11 a year? Attend Convention, hold an office, serve as a workshop presenter, and most of all, network with other women from all over the state! Just contact Barbara White, membership vice-president (page 10), or use the online form at www.aauwnc.org/00About/join. On the other hand, if you have been meaning to join a branch, contact a president on this page! Otherwise, we’ll send you the next issue, and at least one issue a year as long as you maintain your Association membership. You’ll always be able to download the PDF version of THN. But we hope you’ll decide to join AAUW NC (or the AAUW NC 100 Club) to support our work for equity and education for all women and girls in North Carolina! Members are the “key to the future” – thank you for your support of the national organization! Please do consider strengthening your tie to AAUW NC! Member-Get-A-Member Campaign presents essential keys, offers challenges, incentives, rewards For 125 years, AAUW has established an unequalled legacy of involvement and advocacy. As a member, you are invited to assure the continuation of that legacy as an active participant in AAUW Keys to the Future: A Member-Get-A-Member campaign. During the next year and beyond, introduce AAUW to friends, colleagues, family members and acquaintances. Ask them to join AAUW and you in changing the world for women and girls. ‘Keys to the Future’ involves seven essentials for recruiting members – AAUW provides plenty of resources to help. The campaign also includes challenges, incentives, and rewards, including recognition those who excel in bringing in new members. Get involved today!
