LAF Is Working to Get 100% Branch Participation

Lillian Van Order
AAUW NC LAF Liaison

We all know the importance of giving and being a part of an organization. After hearing the speakers at the Convention in Providence, we learned the need for legal advocacy is not lessening in higher education. It is so important for all our branches become aware of these needs. It would be wonderful if we worked for so many societal changes that LAF was not needed. We are not there yet by a long shot, and that is why we all need to contribute.

Please take a minute to check out http://www.aauw.org and see what it says about LAF. Program ideas and information are available for branches to use. You do not have to be the LAF coordinator in order to ask question and give ideas of how your branch can help.

Our state is doing well, but we can do better! If you have any questions as to how I might be able to help your branch, please give me a call (see directory, page six). Let's hope with all of us working together, we can have another banner year in LAF.
