Summary
AAUW NC contributed $35,790.87 to the AAUW Educational Foundation from January
1, 2002 to December 31, 2002. Most of the contributions went to the Eleanor
Roosevelt Fund (supporting Eleanor Roosevelt Teacher Fellowships and research
on gender equity issues in K-12 education), Research and Project Grants
(supporting community action and career development grants) and General Foundation
Support (funds that can be applied where the need is greatest). Many contributions
were also made to honor individuals (see table below), and, in particular, the
Beth Norris R&P Fund reached stipend producing level ($35,000) during 2002.
