One of the documents used by the ReConnection
Committee to start its review of the issues was the following characterization
of branch connections to the AAUW NC organization.
- Branch is in good shape.
Actively participates in state activities and the state board.
- Branch is in good shape.
Has limited participation in state activities.
- Branch is functioning,
but may be going downhill. May or may not welcome help from the state.
May or may not have any capacity to help at the state level.
- Branch is depending on
one or two people for its life. May not have a core left for the state
to help.
- Branch has voted to disband.
With a somewhat arbitrary division
of the branches into those classes -- the idea here is to see trends,
not comment on particular branches -- we see:
