Doris Bernlohr,
As we get closer to the finish line of our LAF reporting year, we still have much work to do. The total giving to LAF from Jan. 2001 to the present time is $2158.00. This is a long distance from the state goal of $10,000. We need 100% support from all the branches to get this job done.
I hope all of you are very busy doing great things to meet your branch LAF goal. I've had a couple of questions about how branch goals are set. Branch goals are determined by your Feb. 1, 2001 count x $5.00.
It is a proven fact that those branches that appoint an LAF chair have much better fund-raising results. So far this year only nine branches have appointed an LAF chair. I encourage each branch to appoint someone to lead the way for this very important work.
Plese send all LAF contrbutions to me as early in December as you can.
Finally, LAF has adopted another case Whittaker v Northern Illinois University. Susan Whittaker, a janitor at Northern Illinois University was awarded $10,000 in support of her sexual harassment lawsuit.
